I was born and raised in Lebanon, a gorgeous little country known for its climate, nature, food and people. My interest in art and design started at 3; little did I know how big of an impact it would make.
I’m currently in my 4th year at McGill University, majoring in Computer Science and minoring in Art History. I’m also the Co-President of the McGill Armenian Students Association, a Product Designer at both Hack4Impact McGill and McGill CodeJam. For most of 2024, I interned at Pullscription as Lead UX designer. I built the primary design and framework for their suite of products and led a team of 5 designers to complete 3 products: Pullscription Tools, Pullscriotion.com and the Pullscription iOS app.
My process is simple: I approach a design challenge by filling my knowledge gaps, whether about the product requirements, the users, or the intersection of both. You could say that this is combining the empathizing, defining, and even ideating stages. Because I'm driven by curiosity in my work, you'll always catch me looking things up, learning ideas, fully understanding them and then simplifying them. In fact, that is one of the main reasons why I thrive in ambiguity. I also tend to be on the "no fluff" side of things, which helps me prioritize design tasks - in my way: I recognize the importance of the design thinking framework while also acknowledging the fact that it's just that, a framework, and that as a creative, my value lies within molding and adapting that cookie-cutter instead of the other way around.
